If you have an insurance claim on property, whether it is business, home, or car and you are looking for a Property Claims Adjuster you may be feeling a little confused. An Adjuster is sometimes referred to by some of the following names, but they are actually the same thing. Public Adjuster, Insurance Adjuster, Claims Adjuster, Adjuster, Insurance Claims Adjuster, Public Insurance Adjuster, Independent Adjusters, Property Claims Adjuster, Independent Claims Adjuster or Independent Insurance Adjuster.
The difference between Adjusters is that an Independent Adjuster or a Property Claims Adjuster represents the consumer, whereas the Insurance Company has their own Adjuster. When you find yourself in the situation where you have suffered lose or damage to your property, it leaves you feeling very stressed and also causes a lot of inconvenience and is time consuming. So why on top of all these negatives do you want to put yourself in the position of being the underdog, without the correct representation? After all the Insurance Companies are big corporations that make this a business. It’s a little like David and Goliath.
When we buy an Insurance Policy we are not also as well covered as we thought. That is because either the Insurance Broker didn’t give you adequate advise or you just misunderstood what you were getting. A Property Claims Adjuster will go over your policy and explain exactly what coverage you have and what the limitation is. Once that has been established you can move forward to making sure that your claim is presented in the right way, with the burden of proof from you shown in a way that is strong and compelling, making it difficult for the Insurance Company to refute it.
When we are sold the policy we go away with a feeling of well being and security, believing that if something happens that our property and family are protected. Sadly this is not always the case. When the unthinkable happens the last thing you need is to find yourself getting into a fight with the Insurance Company or not getting what you need to either repair or replace your loss. It is a fact that when you use a Property Claims Adjuster settlements have approximately a 175% increase, which is a very substantial increase in favor of the consumer as opposed to the average settlement of 25% to 40% of what could have been paid.
As with everything else we do, if we don’t have the right people on our side, at the end of the day it not only costs us more money, but also time. And if you have suffered a loss of some kind isn’t it better to resolve it as quickly as possible and move on. With a Property Claims Adjuster as your advocate you can at least have some peace of mind which can be priceless.
